Middle Years Programme (MYP)
9th grade (Year 4) and 10th grade (Year 5)
Myers Park High School is a fully authorized IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) school, recognized by the IBO. We offer this for our 9th and 10th grade students.
The IB MYP is design for students aged 11 to 16. It provides a comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum framework. It is designed around seven subject groups: language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, mathematics, arts & electives, and health & physical education. The units of study begin with a guiding question, through which students can connect their learning to the world outside the classroom. |
The MYP curriculum model puts our learners at the center of our considerations. In the IB, we look at students as a whole person and not just a student.
