What classes do I need to sign up for?
Students enroll in 8 courses over the course of the academic year. Some courses are taught on what we refer to as the 4x4 schedule where classes meet every day for the duration of the semester and others are taught on the A/B day schedule where classes meet every other day for the length of the academic year. In the DP students need to take courses in 6 of the subject areas and ToK required by the IB. You will need to choose 1 course in each of the following subject areas:
Students will also participate in writing the extended essay, and community and personal development through CAS. Each of these subjects and the core must be completed in order to attain the IB Diploma. Please see the graphic at the right that explains the requirements for the IB Diploma. |
