College Board Advanced Placement courses Advanced Placement (AP) classes are a set of standardized college-level classes developed by the College Board. There are currently 38 AP classes available. These college level courses range from common subjects like Biology and US History to less common high school offerings like Psychology and Human Geography. Students decide how many and which AP classes they wish to take. Once the student completes the course, they sit for the AP Subject Exam in an attempt to earn college credit. |
IB Diploma Programme During the two-year course of study, students partake in 6 college-level subjects, 3 taken at higher level (HL) and 3 at standard level (SL). These courses encompass the 6 subject areas prescribed by the IB and students have choices in their choices of courses in most subject groups. Students will also complete 3 additional core components including a Theory of Knowledge class, write an extended essay, and participate in CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) to develop well-rounded, international individuals, who thrive throughout the rest of their lives. At the end of their courses, students complete required exam components in an attempt to earn the IB Diploma and college credit. |
